Scientist–‘B’Essential : BE / B.Tech in Civil/Chemical/Environmental– 10 posts, Mechanical – 01post and Mining – 01 post (Preferential: Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering / Technology) and M.Sc in Natural/Agricultural – 01 post (Preferential: NET Qualified / Ph.D.)
Junior Scientific Assistant Essential: A degree in science with 4 years of experience in the line, preferably in pollution control or related subjects. Desirable: Master’s degree in science
Senior TechnicianEssential: Diploma in Instrumentation (04 posts) / Diploma in Electronic (01 post)/ Diploma in Mechanical (01 post) Desirable: one-year experience in the relevant field.
Data Entry Operator (Grade-II)(a) 12th standard pass or equivalent, from a recognized Board / University (b) should possess a speed of not less than 8000 key depressions per hour for Data Entry work.
Junior Technician(a) 10th class pass from a recognized Board/ Institution (b) Certificate from ITI in Mechanical trade (c) 3 years of experience in servicing laboratory machines in an organization / institution of repute.
Junior Laboratory Assistant12th class pass with Science subjects from a recognized Board / University. Desirable: Degree in Science from the recognized University / Institution.
Lower Division Clerk(a) Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University (b) Typing speed of 30 wpm in English or 25 wpm in Hindi.
Attendant (MTS)8th Standard Pass from a recognized school. Desirable: (i) 10th class pass from a recognized school/ Board. (ii) Training in Basic and Refresher course in Home Guards and Civil Defense.

1. Candidates are requested to read the Advertisement carefully and then Apply online.
2. Details of posts : Scientist–‘B’: Person with Benchmark Disabilities i.e. OA, OL & HH can also apply. There shall be no upper age limit in respect of officers already working in the Central Pollution Control Board for the above posts of Scientist ‘B’. Junior Scientific Assistant : Person with Benchmark Disabilities i.e. OA, OL, LV, HH can also apply. Senior Technician : Person with Benchmark Disabilities i.e. OL, HH can also apply. Data Entry Operator (Grade-II) : Person with Benchmark Disabilities i.e. OA, OL, OAL, BL, LV, HH can also apply. Junior Technician : Person with Benchmark Disabilities i.e. OL, HH can also apply. Junior Laboratory Assistant : Out of these 07 posts, 03 posts are reserved for Ex-Servicemen. Person with Benchmark Disabilities i.e. OA, OL, HH can also apply. Lower Division Clerk : Out of 13 posts of LDC, 01 post is reserved for Ex-servicemen, 01 for PwBD (Blindness & Low Vision) and 01 for PwBD (Deaf and Hard of Hearing). 3. The candidates of only Indian Nationality can apply for these posts.
4. There is No Application Fee for applying to any post.
5. The Candidates must carry the original photo id prof which has been mentioned in the application, at the time of written test for verification.
6. The Board reserves the right to post the selected candidates anywhere in India.
7. Experience specified for the above posts shall be the experience acquired after obtaining the Essential Educational qualifications prescribed for the posts.
8. Applicants are NOT required to upload the scanned copies of certificates and supporting documents with the application form. However, the same will be produced at the time of documents verification.
9. After submitting the application, applicants are advised to visit the CPCB Recruitment Portal frequently for any update on the status of his application.
10. Applicants are advised to ensure before applying that they possess essential qualification and experience for the post. The Experience, Qualification and age will be reckoned as on the last date for submission of application i.e. 25th May, 2020. No updating of qualification and experience will be entertained after the last date.
11. Application once submitted cannot be altered/resubmitted, under any circumstances. Further, no request with respect to making changes in any data/ particulars entered by the candidate in the Online Application will be entertained, once the application is submitted successfully. Therefore, please keep all data/details ready before you start filling up the Application Online.
12. The persons applying for more than one post must apply separately.
13. CPCB shall verify the antecedents and documents submitted by applicants at any time, at the time of appointment or during the tenure of service. In case, it is found that the Applicants have submitted fake documents or the applicants have undesirable clandestine antecedents/background and have suppressed the material information, his/her services shall be liable to be terminated.
14. The character of a person for direct recruitment to the service must be such as to render him/her suitable in all respect for appointment to the service. Persons dismissed by the Union Government or by a State Government or by a Local Authority or a Government Corporation owned or controlled by the Central Government or State Government will be deemed to be ineligible for appointment.
15. In case of any inadvertent mistake in the process of selection which may be detected at any stage even after the issuance of appointment letter, CPCB reserves the right to modify/withdraw/cancel any communication made to the Applicants.
16. The reservations/relaxations policy for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/EWS applicants will be as per the existing Govt. of India policy. Applicants applying for the reserved posts should clearly state to which category they belong.
17. EWS vacancies are tentative and subject to further directives of Government of India and outcome of any litigation. The appointment is provisional and subject to the Income and Asset certificate being verified through proper channel and if the verification reveals that the claim to belong to EWS is fake/false, the services will be terminated forthwith without assigning any further reasons and without prejudice to such further action as may be taken under the provision of the Indian Penal Code for production of fake/false certificate.
18. The persons with Degree of Disability of 40% and above are eligible for applying for the PwBD.
19. The applicants serving in Govt./Semi. Govt./PSUs/Autonomous Organization must obtain No Objection Certificate from their employer and produced it at the time of documents verification. In case the applicant fails to submit the No Objection Certificate from his employer, his candidature will not be considered for appointment.
20. Canvassing in any form on behalf of or by any applicant will disqualify him/her from being considered for post.
21. All the appointees shall be governed by the New Pension Scheme (NPS) introduced by Govt. of India.
22. Appointments under Direct Recruitment are regular in nature with a probation period as per Govt. of India norms and the same shall be confirmed depending upon satisfactory performance of the incumbent.
23. The Board reserves the right to: (a) Withdraw the advertisement either partly or wholly at any time without assigning any reason to this effect. (b) Fill or not to fill up some or all the posts advertised for any reasons whatsoever (c) Increase/decrease the number of posts without giving any reason. (d) Any edition/deletion and changes in matter of terms and conditions given in this notification of recruitment.
24. Request for change of mailing address or e-mail address or Mobile No. during the process of recruitment will not be entertained under any circumstances. CPCB will not be responsible for any loss of e-mail, loss of any communication due to wrong address provided by the candidates.
25. Applicants shall have to produce original testimonials at the time of document verification.
26. Any corrigendum/addendum pertaining to this advertisement, the same shall be published on CPCB website only. Accordingly, all applicants in their own interests are advised to regularly visit CPCB website i.e. They should also regularly check their e-mail account for updates.
27. No TA/DA and accommodation shall be provided for attending Written Test, Skill/Trade Test and Interview.
28. Candidates, who have obtained Degrees or Diplomas or Certificates for various courses from any Institution declared fake/de-recognized by the UGC/AICTE/PCI shall not be eligible for being considered for recruitment to the posts advertised. If this is detected at any stage during their service, their service will be terminated forthwith.
29. No interim correspondence whatsoever will be entertained from Applicants regarding conduct and result of test(s) and reasons for not being called for test(s)
30. In case of any dispute/ambiguity that may occur in the process of selection, the decision of the Competent Authority of CPCB in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, mode of selection, conduct of examination/ interview will be final and no query or correspondence will be entertained in this connection from any applicant.
31. No person shall be recruited unless he/she is in good mental and physical health and free from any physical defect that is likely to interfere with the efficient performance of his official duties. Candidates who are finally approved for the appointment, he/she shall produce Medical Certificate from an authorized Government Medical Officer at the time of joining the CPCB.
32. A Candidate’s admission to the Written Test/Skill/Trade Test / Interview and subsequent process is strictly provisional. The mere fact that the call letter has been issued to the candidate does not imply that his/her candidature has been finally cleared by CPCB. CPCB would be free to reject any application, at any stage of the process, cancel the candidature of the candidate in case it is detected at any stage that a candidate does not fulfill the eligibility norms and/or that he/she has furnished any incorrect/false information/Certificate/documents or has suppressed any material fact(s). If any of these shortcoming(s) is/are detected after appointment in CPCB, their services are liable to be summarily terminated as per rules.
33. Errors and omissions in notification and selection process are subject to corrections as per rules.
